 About Ido

Ido Toledano is a dancer, choreographer, movement director, and certified GAGA Movement Language teacher

Toledano has developed a distinct choreographic practice. His artistic practice examines and deconstructs "Theater Dance" into its fundamental choreographic elements and patterns. Working methodically from the individual performer to larger compositional structures, his choreographic practice investigates how movement, space, and human interaction generate meaning, with a strong belief that choreography is fundamentally about understanding human behavior, akin to an anthropological practice. a practice that seeks to understand human behavior and discover how systems can organize human interaction. Within this seemingly simple yet profoundly complex task lies everything: beauty, vulnerability, philosophical inquiry, and the recurring patterns that shape the way people move, relate, and exist together.

His choreographic works include Helpmate (2019), which received first prize in Israel's Outstanding Choreographers Competition; Soul, Mathematics & Disagreement (2022), premiered at the Suzanne Dellal Centre in Tel Aviv; Shir Eres (2023), later expanded into a full-length duet version in 2024 presented at the Inbal Theater; and One Dancer (2025), a solo work that premiered at the Greater Bay Area Dance Festival in Shenzhen, China.
